Tell us a bit about your home project and how it started.
We bought our home in December 2014. We weren’t looking to move properties at the time, but my husband was reading the local paper (which he never does) and came across our future home! We viewed it within 2 days and we instantly knew the potential and what we could achieve! We moved in exactly 8 weeks later, and are now near completing our home – hopefully by August 2018.
How would you describe your interior style?
My interior style is modern. We love the minimalist look but we also love the feel of home and cosiness.
Where do you get design inspiration?
We look online at Houzz a lot and we have built our interior inspiration from hotels we have stayed at in different parts of the world.
Which fire did you choose and what drew you to this fire?
We have the Gazco Studio Electric Inset 150. It was a gorgeous fire that fit perfectly for our room size. Everybody comments when they enter our home as it really gives the wow factor.
Tell us a bit about the installation process.
My husband and his father removed an old gas fire and surround. They then started the build of a studded chimney breast. They are perfectionists so made everything to measure around the fire, soundbar and the TV.
Your Instagram profile mentions completion in August 2018 – what is left to finish?
We are over half way there now. We have the rear guest room, our bedroom and en suite. We also have the stairs, hallway and landing. So we have an extremely busy year ahead. But cannot wait to share our results with Instagram.
