“A great choice!”
Neil & Erica, Stockton 4

Having had electric fires in the past, we decided to plump for the real deal. And it was worth it!
As first time owners of a wood burner we learned that managing a real fire takes some getting use to – you can’t just switch them on and off for a start. But the learning experience is rewarding and when you get the Stockton 4 wood burning and multi-fuel stove going, WOW does it throw out some heat.
Yes, they cost more to install. Yes, they can smell if you keep opening the door (you learn not to). Yes, you need to clean them out every now and then. And yes you need to keep a pile of wood somewhere to burn. However we couldn’t go back to our electric fire. It hard to put into words, but it just didn’t have any soul.
Oh, and the wood burner makes for a great Halloween centre piece if you buy a few plastic skeleton parts. Just remember to take them out before lighting it again!
