A Stovax Studio Duplex double-sided fire features in Episode 1 of the new series of Ugly House to Lovely House
Channel 4 interiors series, Ugly House to Lovely House, is back with series 3 and hosted by George Clarke. Episode 1 took us to Claverdon, Warwickshire, where Steve and Celine needed to update their 1960’s house. Enlisting architect Graeme Williamson to revitalise it, the result is a modern sanctuary with a gentle nod back to 60s styling.
In the living area, the flooring is brought back to life, harking back to the 60’s and 70’s, and the centrepiece is a Studio Duplex fire from Stovax – installed by local retailer, Sparkes Ltd.
The Studio Duplex wood burner makes an ideal choice for joining two areas and creating a natural flow between spaces, offering a double-sided installation. The couple opted for the Edge+ version, which provides a small neat frame around the product, yet still maintaining that hole in the wall finish.
There are many other framing options available in the range, from the widescreen Glass frame to the classic Bauhaus.
