Channel 4's Ugly House to Lovely House visited Mandy's project in Nottingham. She chose a Stovax Studio Duplex Inset Wood Burning Fire to complement her new living space.

If you’re a fan of George Clarke, you may have been keeping up with Channel 4’s Ugly House to Lovely House. The series follows the transformations of several ‘ugly’ homes, and sees them brought to life – proving that even the ugliest houses can be transformed into homes to be proud of.

In Episode 5, the show visited Nottingham, where Mandy’s home was in dire need of change. A shocking red brick exterior and an unfinished interior meant that she got the experts in to help. Sheffield architects Howard Evans and Prue Chiles led the project, giving Mandy’s home a stunning makeover – a dramatic change to both the exterior of the property, as well as a new sleek interior.

Mandy chose a Stovax Studio Duplex Inset wood burning fire, which helped to create a gorgeous sense of continuity between her living area and kitchen. With the fire the focal point of the living space, it’s easy to imagine this room as a place for relaxation in front of relaxing rolling flames.
