We all know that no one is going anywhere this Valentine’s Day, so we’ve put together some ideas on how to make it special while staying at home.
Valentine’s Day has come around once again (14th February), but in a year when many of us are spending more time than ever in our homes, what can you do to make this evening special when many of the usual activities are off the cards?
Some describe love as an intense feeling of warmth towards someone. Why not enhance this feeling with one of our stoves or fires this Valentine’s Day? Fire has the ability to take us back millions of years by evoking one of the most basic necessities of our cavemen and women days, to stay warm. Try as you might to recreate that feeling by sitting in front of a radiator, it just doesn’t have the same effect!
Arguably, there’s nothing more charming than sitting in front of a wood burning fire such as the Stovax Vogue 700 Inset and watching the flames dance with a loved one. So why not turn off the TV, grab some blankets and a bottle of bubbly, and embrace the loving atmosphere of the day. A romantic picnic for two with the flickering flames in the background will provide all the ambience you need.
How about going out for a nice long walk together in the afternoon? Then come back, kick off your walking boots and put your feet up in front of the fire with a nice cup of tea or hot chocolate – or go the extra mile with a mulled wine!
We know sadly not everyone can be together this Valentine’s Day. If you’re planning on video calling a loved one, set up your laptop in front of your stove or fire to help set a romantic mood and keep the long-distance embers glowing.
