Serving Suggestion – Copper 75

A twist on the French 75, this cocktail marries Copper Frog Gin, Champagne, lemon juice, and sugar, for a luxurious yet light tipple. The perfect alternative to a festive mimosa, the 75 cocktail dates to World War I, with an early form created in at the New York Bar in Paris by Harry MacElhone in 1915.

Those on the continent call it a Soixante Quinze, but we’re donning this recipe a Copper 75.

Ingredients:

• 1 oz Copper Frog Gin (approx. 30ml)
• 1/2 oz lemon juice (approx. 15ml)
• 2 dashes simple syrup
• 2 oz Champagne (approx. 60ml)

Preparation

Combine gin, syrup, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into an iced flute glass. Top up with Champagne. Stir gently, and serve straight up, chilled, without ice!

Swap the Champagne in favour for cider for a fruity and wintery depth.

• The competition starts at 16:00 on 15th December 2022, and closes at 23:59 on 18th December 2022.
• The winner will be selected at random after the competition has ended, and contacted via the relevant social media platform thereafter. Failure to respond within 24 hours will result in loss of the prize, and another winner will be chosen as a replacement.
• The winner’s details will be shared between Stovax Heating Group and Copper Frog Distilling for fulfilment of the prize.
• All elements of the prize are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
