It’s that time of year when we are looking to refresh our homes and keep up with new trends. Here are our tips for how to introduce 2018's interior design trends to your fireplace.
Texture is a focus for this year’s trends, and there are so many ways to incorporate natural touches around your fireplace. Opt for mixed tone, rust slate tiles to enhance your fire’s presence as a focal point, and introduce handmade fabrics or patterned cushions to complement.
This year, dark woods are on trend, teamed with metals such as gold and brass. Along with this, 2018 sees the comeback of marble – to incorporate marble into your fireplace design, consider one of Stovax’s Stone Mantels which feature their own natural veining within the stone – and possibly even small fossils in the limestone which will only add to the charm!
2018 is all about rich pigments and bold colour statements, and although this year’s Pantone Colour of the Year is ultra-violet, you can experiment with a variety of luxurious colours. A contemporary gas fire, such as the Gazco Studio 2 Edge+, creates a sumptuous cosy feel to a living space when coupled with deep blue or green décor.
The tropical trend from last year is still strong for 2018, but this year it’s more about introducing energising greens to your living space. Complement that feeling of revitalisation and nature by upgrading your stove to a more eco-friendly woodburner. The Elise is one of many of Stovax’s Ecodesign Ready stoves and fires which, when combined with good quality wood, lowers emission to an absolute minimum, reducing environmental impact and making the ideal choice for the eco-conscious.

Hi there, I am looking for a double sided casette type, landscape stove. I wonder if you are doing these?
Many thanks, Judy Bornemann
Hi Judy, thanks for your message. The only double-sided casette fire we do currently is the Gazco Studio Duplex Double-Sided gas fire which may be of interest.
Best wishes, Chris
