Predicted Coldest Winter in 30 Years

With one of the coldest winters in 30 years heading our way, you might want to jump the queue on the busy heating season and have a look at heating your home with your very own domestic fire.

There isn’t long to go until winter is finally upon us, with experts warning of a freezing jet stream to sweep across the UK come January. Some reports have suggested that this predicted forecast could last up to a number of weeks and even into the month of February, with the expected cold snap estimated to trump 2018’s Beast from the East. Last year’s blizzard saw gusts of wind up to 70mph and caused widespread disruptions across the UK and parts of Ireland. Many found themselves affected by interruptions to travel, heating systems and boilers frozen under the icy pressure, people unable to gain access to their local high street, and some even reporting electrical issues.

This forecast for the coming winter and January 2020 is meant to reach an average temperature of just 3.9C – Which is pretty chilly! Researchers from the University College London have offered these new estimates in order for people to better prepare for the impending cold snap. So, with this all in mind, now is the perfect time to get your very own stove or fire fitted ahead of the busy heating season! With a variety of products from wood burning stoves, multi-fuel stoves, gas stoves, and electric stoves all guaranteed to heat your home through the cold months.
