The Stovax Huntingdon wood burning stove range is DEFRA exempt for use in Smoke Control Areas. This makes these stoves perfect for city living, providing a sustainable heating solution with low particulate emissions.
These log burners are engineered with integrated heat shields, which reduces the distance needed between the stove and combustible materials. This expands placement options within a home and improves safety while doing so. Plus, having lower clearance to combustibles is particularly advantageous as it broadens aesthetic and practical installation possibilities.
The Integrated External Air Connection means these wood stoves are ready to draw combustion air directly from outside, without the need for an additional kit. This feature prevents cold draughts and eliminates the need for additional room ventilation.
Stovax Huntingdon 20 and 30 wood-burning stoves can also be installed on a 12mm decorative hearth. This means that the stoves do not significantly raise the temperature of the floor beneath them – staying below 100°C. As a result, you can use more decorative materials for the hearth, such as slate, tiles, or granite, instead of the typical approximately 125mm thick concrete constructional hearth. This adaptation simplifies the building process, reducing the labour and costs associated with more extensive hearth constructions.
What’s more, a 12mm hearth can also assist with complications encountered in some homes, such as combustible or floating flooring – such as Victorian timber floors.
