Gazco’s research and development laboratories are among the most advanced in the world, that’s why Gazco Gas Stoves are convenient, efficient and just as attractive as any solid fuel model.
Convenience
Many homes in the UK are connected to mains supplies of Natural Gas. However, if you’re not connected there’s no problem, all Gazco Gas Stoves can be used with LPG. Whether you use mains gas or LPG, gas means economical heating at any time, directly where you want it. Natural Gas is particularly economical, and costs less per kWh than heating oil, electricity and in many cases wood.
You can often install a gas stove into a pre-existing chimney and your first step is to identify the type of chimney you have. Your Gazco Retailer can advise you on which models will be suitable for your chimney, or if your home doesn’t have a chimney, many gas stove models are available in balanced flue versions. A balanced flue completely seals the appliance from the room into which it is installed, preventing draughts and increasing heating efficiency. No chimney is required to install a balanced flue as a twin-wall pipe vents directly to an outside wall, either horizontally through an external wall or vertically through the roof, depending on the stove selected.Over twenty years ago Gazco was the first UK fire manufacturer to introduce a remote-controlled range of gas fires. Since then the technologies have been developed and refined, and now all Gazco Gas Stoves are available with upgradeable remote controls for ultimate convenience.
Efficiency
Gazco Gas Stoves are glass fronted, keeping as much heat in as possible. The stoves are made of materials that are good conductors of heat, including traditional cast iron and steel. Balanced flue models often have efficiencies of over 80%, making your gas stove a warming addition to the home. Gas itself also has relatively low CO² emissions, producing less carbon per purchased kW/hr than economy electric, heating oil, anthracite and bituminous coal.
Design
Choosing a gas stove doesn’t mean compromising on style. Gazco produces a variety of designs, including gas versions of highly popular solid fuel models such as the Stockton 5. The Gas Stockton 5 shares the same cast iron door, heavy gauge steel body and traditional styling as its solid fuel counterpart, yet can be controlled by a remote control.
If you crave a large gas stove with maximum impact, the Gas Riva Vision Large could be the perfect choice. This impressive gas stove has a heat output of up to 5.2 kW, making it a great feature for larger rooms. With sleek glass styling and a choice of linings, you can also choose from a realistic log effect fuel bed or contemporary white stones, which can also be customised with a choice of three glass bead sets. A thermostatic remote control comes as standard, so you can programme your stove to welcome you home.
