We spotted one of their designer homes on Instagram, featuring a Stovax Studio 2, so got in touch with Kate, Marketing Manager at TG Designer Homes to find out more about this contemporary design-led home.
Talking to us about the Studio wood burner, Kate reveals that the inspiration for the living space in the ‘Cowshed’ home was all about making an open space work for family use. “Using a log burner like the Stovax Studio 2 is a great way to provide different zones for different needs in a living space. It provides a focal point and a warm inviting feature.”
TG Designer Homes describe their interior style as contemporary, homely, robust – but with that flair of fun. It’s easy to see this through their different designs for the ‘Flint’ home in Broadstairs, the ‘Cowshed’ home in Lenham Heath. Both homes offer a welcoming space, but flirt with playful colours and are buzzing with texture.
Kate commented that the Studio 2 freestanding wood burner was the “best design and price on the market, and suited our style and budget perfectly. We had our stove installed by Heat Design Co Ltd in Canterbury, Kent.”
There are all kinds of reasons why people opt for wood burners in their home, but for TG Designer Homes, it was all about offering an alternative heat source on a cold day – in this case a heat source that did not involve needing to use the underfloor heating in the rest of the property. Aside from this, the ambience and focal point offered from this wood burner made it the perfect solution.
For anyone undergoing major renovations to their home, Kate advises to “shop around, read recommendations, take your time, and use magazines to find ideas!”
