Tell us about your home, your inspiration…
I moved in with my partner Paul December 2017 since then we have done three renovations, two on our home and one on another property. I moved from a three-bedroom house to a two bedroom flat so initially the transition was hard. I longed for more space and openness even though I adored our new home. So we renovated, out with all the dark decoration and furnishings and welcomed, light shades, glass and mirror into our home. The place has become a really relaxing, fresh and clean living space. We love it so much more now.
What do you love most about your home? What is your favourite feature?
I used to really love our bedroom it was the first room we changed in our renovation, but since doing the living room we have a new favourite. We worked really hard to take away the look of our home being a first floor flat, we wanted something luxurious, glam and classy while still maintaining a masculine feel to the place. My favourite feature of the whole home is the faux chimney breast which houses our tv and Gazco Radiance 85R Inset electric fire. We had it glazed in mirror either side to make the room feel bigger while not taking anything away from the focal point.
What drew you to our Gazco Radiance 85R electric fire?
Being in a first floor flat and having no chimney breast electric was the only way to go. I searched for ages looking for a fire that was just right, I knew it had to be modern, quiet, with realistic flames. Then I came across the Gazco range online. The next day I was looking where stocked them in shops because I didn’t believe the videos online. I knew as soon as I saw it that was the one for our living room. We opted for the 85R mainly for size with what we had to work with.
What is your advise to anyone looking to renovate their own home?
PLAN and then plan again. For me measurements are key! I love everything fitting perfectly and evenly. When installing our faux breast, we took into account sizes for the fire, tv, sound bar, console tables, even how far the curtains would protrude from the wall. It was all worth it because the final result was perfect.

Since adding our Gazco fire our home has completely changed, we spend so much more time in there now. We receive so many compliments from guests and people online too. It was undoubtedly the best addition to our home.
