Tell us a bit about you and your interior style.
I’m a born & bred South Londoner; and mum to three sons – Finn, Louis and Hector. My passion is interior design and my goal is to have my own affordable interiors shop one day.
I would describe my style as light and bright with bold colour pops. I enjoy mixing up new and old pieces – I’m an avid eBayer and flea market frequenter!
Which stove did you choose and how did you go about finding it?
I am a natural researcher, so I enjoyed the challenge of finding the perfect stove. I trawled through many websites to get a rough idea of what I wanted, but there’s nothing quite like seeing something in the flesh. So I popped along to my local stove shop, where they had a vast range to choose from. It was a bit overwhelming but the Stovax Stockton 5 stood out from the rest. Its classic design, ‘all-black’ simplicity, shape and quality of finish was enough to win me over. It also happens to be the exact same stove that my brother recently had installed and he strongly recommended it.
Were you always keen to have a wood burner?
I have always loved the idea of having a log burner in my home and was inspired by fellow Londoners opting for them – they’re not just for country homes as I had once imagined!
Where do you get design inspiration?
My inspirations come from a variety of sources. There’s the obvious interiors magazines, Instagram and Pinterest – but also art galleries, design books, TV, friends’ homes and even nosing on Rightmove.
What’s next for your project?
The next project for the house is a big one. A two storey extension at the back. My middle son’s bedroom is no bigger than a cupboard – so more space for him is a must!
