Installing Gazco gas fires and stoves in Northern Ireland

From 1st April 2010 all engineers carrying out work on gas appliances in Northern Ireland must be on the GasSafe Register

With effect from 1st April 2010, all engineers carrying out work on gas appliances in Northern Ireland, whether for installation or servicing, must be on the GasSafe Register. This register was previously administered by CORGI and the change now aligns the province with the GasSafe scheme in Great Britain and the Isle of Man.

All registered engineers carry a Gas Safe Register ID card with their own unique licence number. Before you have any gas work carried out, you should always ask to see the card. Check both sides of the card to make sure the engineer is qualified for the work you want done and their qualifications are in date. You can find or check a Gas Safe registered engineer in Northern Ireland at www.GasSafeRegister.co.uk or by phoning 0800 408 5500.
