Gas fires

What do the remote controls do?

Q: What do the remote controls do?

A: Remote controls are automatically supplied with some models and may be options with others.

In general, however, there are three types of control:

  • Standard - once the fire has been ignited manually, this allows you to adjust the flame height and heat output.
  • Programmable – has the two additional features of thermostatic control of room temperature and a programme function allowing your fire to switch itself on and off twice a day.
  • Sequential – which, in addition to other features, allows you to ignite/extinguish the pilot light as the whole operating sequence is controlled from the handset itself.
