Every fireplace is constructed from heavy gauge steel plate, expertly finished with a sophisticated, satin black lacquer that is heatproof to 600°c, and is supplied with matching, decorative flue pipe cover*. The solid fuel firebox itself is designed for burning wood, peat/turf and smokeless fuel. It incorporates a high quality, cast iron grate backed by, according to model, either cast iron panels or the latest thermally efficient firebricks to maximise the heat output from your fuel.
*Flue pipe/flue liner is NOT included but is available from your retailer
Your Rocal retailer will provide you with a Two Year Warranty for your new Rocal fire. This warranty is subject to the appliance being installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and the second year’s warranty is dependant on the appliance being serviced within 12 months of installation by an appropriately qualified engineer. This warranty does not cover certain wearing parts or ‘consumables’ or the use of unauthorised fuels.
There are 10 Rocal fireplaces to choose from. Each has its own special style, individually created to fulfil different design criteria from open grates to all-round glass and from installation in a corner to the centrepiece of a room.

All Rocal models have been tested to CE standards. Where heat outputs have been specified as ‘maximum’, please note that all these models can be burnt efficiently at half that output.
Furthermore, as some of the photographs shown on the Rocal Fireplaces page do not necessarily comply with UK Building Regulations, your Rocal retailer can advise you on correct installation as well as providing a full fitting service.
As an option, the D-4 model is also available with a highly realistic, living flame gas log fire. so you can enjoy all the atmosphere of a ‘real’ fire but at the touch of a button – and without the need to cut wood, store logs or remove ash. complete with our command Remote control system so you can adjust the flame height and heat from the comfort of your armchair!
All freestanding Rocal Fireplaces are supplied complete with matching decorative flue cover but not the flue pipe. This can be cut to suit where a ceiling is lower but, if the ceiling is higher, you will require a longer length. please ask your Stovax retailer for further information. Elbow flue cover sections (45°) are also available for all models except Aitana and D-4.
A flat ceiling plate with grille is supplied with each fireplace. plates for sloping ceilings are available to special order and at a supplementary cost. Please inform your dealer of the degree and direction of slope.
All handles are Nickel plated. Black and brass handles are available to special order.
Rocal pursues a policy of constant product improvement. Products supplied may therefore differ in specification from those illustrated or described on this site.
All Rocal Fireplaces are guaranteed for 2 years from the date of purchase. However, this is dependent on the appliance being serviced within 12 months of installation by an appropriately qualified engineer and specifically excludes ‘wear and tear items’ such as glass, firebricks and grates. The use of petrocoke in a Rocal fireplace will invalidate its guarantee.
Mineral wool may be required between the fireplace and the wall or walls against which it is installed. This is not included but your Stovax retailer will be able to supply it.
Installation must comply with Building Regulations relating to heat producing appliances (approved Document J) and gas fires, where fitted, are also subject to the Gas safety (Installation and Use) Regulations. Inputs, outputs and flue size requirements for the gas log fires are as follows:
