According to British Gas, average gas bills fell 2% in the first three months of 2010, despite the coldest winter for a generation. The average gas bill – between January and March of this year – for the 8m homes supplied by the company fell to £373, compared to £381 in the same period of 2009. (more…)

Installing Gazco gas fires and stoves in Northern Ireland

With effect from 1st April 2010, all engineers carrying out work on gas appliances in Northern Ireland, whether for installation or servicing, must be on the GasSafe Register. This register was previously administered by CORGI and the change now aligns the province with the GasSafe scheme in Great Britain and the Isle of Man. (more…)
