Stovax – The UK’s Widest Range of Smoke Control Approved Wood burning Stoves – Many More Added Today!
As of today, October 1st 2010, even more Stovax wood burning stoves and cassette fires have been approved for use in UK smoke control areas. These have now been published in the new Statutory Instruments, Smoke Control Areas, the Government’s official list of stoves and fires approved for burning wood in UK smoke control areas.
Stovax now have the widest range of smoke control approved wood burning stoves available from a single British manufacturer and have seen an increase in demand for their stoves from homeowners in the towns and cities that make up the UK’s smoke control areas.
They expect this trend to continue with the cold weather this winter, increasing energy prices and with many trying to beat January’s VAT rise.
Wood burning stoves were for many years considered a country preserve, but the Clean Air Act was amended in 2008, making DEFRA-approved Cleanburn wood burning stoves suitable for burning dry, untreated wood in the towns and cities that make up the UK’s Smoke Control Areas. This has led to a trend towards city dwellers warming with wood for the first time since the Act came into effect over half a century ago.
In order to cater for this growing urban demand, Stovax have invested heavily in gaining smoke control approval from DEFRA for their extensive range of wood burning and multi fuel stoves. This gives homeowners in towns and cities the UK’s widest range of high efficiency wood burning stoves and cassette fires to choose from.
The all-new Riva Studio Freestanding, Stovax View and Stovax Stockton Milner insert wood burning stoves join the Stovax Stockton & Riva Plus ranges and Huntingdon 25 for traditional interiors as well as Stovax Riva Vision or Stovax Riva Studio 1 & 2 and the Riva Cassette range for more contemporary homes.
